Jyoti Kapur is a textile and fashion designer. She is finalising her PhD at the Swedish School of Textiles, University of Borås, in Sweden. Prior to her PhD, she did her Masters in Transdisciplinary studies at ZHdK. Her research connects the fields of textiles, architecture (Spatial designing) and interaction design. In her work, she focuses on the olfactory dimension to design spaces and through textile – olfactory interactions, connect body and the environment. She is interested in developing new materials that are relational to olfactive dimension for spatial experiences as part of sensory sensitive designing. Through her work, she is co-developing pedagogical tools for designing with invisible materialities through experimental design research.
